Although, this topic is not specifically related to WSJT-X, for lack of a better header to place it within, it is related to the WSJT-X spinoff, weak signal software which includes the FT8 mode.
I have been experimenting with the latest release candidate, rc133, for Windows and have noticed a 'quirk' when testing it using the FT8 mode and wonder if I may be missing something or if there actually is a small glitch within this release that may be causing the issue I am encountering ?
When attempting to work 'split-frequency' operation within the software, using FT8 mode, I am initially able to set separate transmit and receive frequencies with MONITOR enabled. As soon as I begin to transmit, both the transmit and receive frequencies are immediately set to the same frequency and remain there until switching back to MONITOR, where, then I am able to reset the frequencies separate from one another.
has anyone else noticed this ? Does anyone know if this may be a glitch or perhaps I may be missing something ? I have read and re-read the entire manual, cover to cover, and have done extensive testing and research but, to date, I have not been able to correct this issue. Any comments, hints or assistance would be greatly appreciated !
