Dear ISCAT User
It was decided in Vienna IARU Reg1 meeting 2010, to adopt a paper from G4ASR concerning the usage of the 50 MHz MGM calling frequency. As you can see below there exists only one MGM random calling frequency in IARU Reg.1 and this is on 50.230 Mhz.
In order to avoid QRM with JT6m users it is suggested to use in the meantime for ISCAT 50.240 MHz as random MGM calling frequency.
This frequency is in the range of the IARU Reg.1 recommendation to use 50.210 - 50.250 MHz for MGM Meteor Scatter/IONO DX.
IONO DX could be inserted at next conference in South Africa.
