new release has many new modes I don't know anything about or they are experimental. There is also a CW mode guess for EME with fixed speed. I miss again the EME echo mode that was present at v8 beta.
What is yur experience with WSJT 7.07 ? How does it perform at you ?

NEW WSJT 7.07 VERSION AVAILABLE

After some tests with BETA 8 past days Joe, K1JT, did spread a new
package of WSJT 7 which is still including the good old FSK441/JT65
and lot's of other modes.

HERE to download...

I did first tests with FSK441 (as SWL) on 144 MHz and did not find any
change against past WSJT 7 version. Installation was as easy and with
out trouble as older version on WIN XP.
Please do send your experience here as well again...

I will qrv for Sprint Contest with the "old" 7.06 version...... and after I will update to the new one..... ))))

I run 7.0.7 and 4.9.8 on 2 computers and feed them from my TS-711.
After several days still found that burst from 100, 80 or 60 with strength 1dB not been decode at 7.0.7 version.

Is it the version or is it my soundcard or what?
But 4.9.8. is working ok with it.....

Then the second thing I found out with 7.0.7

My neighbour PA4PS was in qso with a station, I was RXing this qso.
WSJT was in auto mode, so the time PS was TXing I did not receive because I was also "TXing" but then with F3 pressed.
I recieved in several periodes weak burst on my screen from the DX station, it was not decode.
When I clicked around the burst with the mouse and trey to force a decode, strange thing happend.
I saw decodes on my screen, but they where not from the DX station , but they where from what PS was TXing in his period!!

There was no overlap from PS, because the burst I tried to decode where at time 13,4 21,6 sec etc.

I did not only test this with PA4PS but also with some other station who where S7 or more at my side.

Not seen this in other versions from WSJT.

Am I the only one seen this??

Hello dear Johan,
I was now testing wsjt 7.07 in fsk441 mode and I can not reply that pings with or below 100 are not decoding. I had several with 80 and was decoding fine. Don't know how it can be different - mayne needs some more user reports.

Hi all,

have same experience as Johan.
Pings 40ms and 60ms will be NOT decoded (in parallel
WSJT 4.9.8 and / or 7.0.3 will do auto...)

I have informed Joe, K1JT, to take a look here...

After some more testing I can reply that version 7.07 is NOT deoding pings <80ms!

After I wanted to install again the last release 7.03(r190) but nowhere to find in the internet even with Google search (Joe did a good job ) but kindly OE3FVU - Franz made a download link:

I have always been skeptical of claims that WSJT 4.9.8 decodes FSK441 any better than WSJT 7.03, or 7.07, or whatever.

If you believe that it does, please save and send to me one or more wave files, recorded with WSJT 4.9.8, that decode better in 4.9.8 than in the current release. Many thanks!

just my 2 cents: decoded with v.707: 60ms@1dB, 60ms@2dB, 80ms@2dB

Thanks for the reply's here, I always thought that one version is better as the other.
But today I buy a new cheapest soundcard I could find and replaced it in my computer.
The old one was a on-board soundcard.

The whole evening I was testing now with 7.0.7 ( from 06 till 01 utc ).
And I must say it works fantastic now!!
I can now decode burst from 80/4, 80/3, 60/4 and even 40/2.
All those burst where decode by the pc, so I had not to click with the mouse around the burst!

Sri Joe we keep the myth from 4.9.8 alive, I now know better!!!!!
