I am convinced that FT8 has major advantages above SSB in Es. Unlik SSB, when calls and locators can be misheard and the usual QRM mess, FT8 takes its time, but all info is exchanged error free. All stations use the same QRG and there is no need for tuning over the band, This is especially true for short openings like today. as long as all keep to the arrangement about use of periods. |

Rig: IC-9700, 4 el. Yagi ODX: RZ6DD (2013 km) Log: 18:33 RZ6DD LN04MX Comment: Short opening. I have fixed 4 el. Yagi on balcony heading west and completely blocked east. Anyway heard ca 5 different calls from Russia on FT8. Luckily made one fast FT8 QSO with RZ6DD. |
