Hi, today used 2 (to EA,F) from possible 3 ES-clouds (to UA-was a little far).
1st ES to EA start here aprox. 14:30z with EA4ESM -07dB
and util 15:15z I worked 5 EAs on FT8, no hrd anyone on SSB
EA1AF not complete QSO-SRI. at last, 2min. strong decode
F6GPT IN94 and F1GTU JN05 but no lucky.

2nd ES to F continue from 16z until 17z, I worked 5x F station (only)
because when ES was strong, every use FT8, then it's very crowded, and the work on FT8 is slow. Much time I lsn on SSB, calling CQ several minutes, but worked only 2 station on SSB. Meanwhile, on FT8 much F coming signals with +dB, where I worked only 3 F stations. Hrd also F8DBF, F6KHM, F6EAS, F4BKV, F4HER, F4EZJ, F8BON-IN86! but no lucky for QSO

3th cloud to UA3 no any decode, so close, but no lucky. Some other 9A near by me decode several UAs, but no QSO.

So, TKS all for nice afternoon, see you in next ES in future. 73

A very good ES opening in three steps.
At the beginning it seemed that there was no activity in SSB despite many calls from me.
During the second step, finally a good activity in SSB . QSO were much faster and easier than with FT8.
The third step still offered me my ODX with SV6KRW in FT8.
Throughout the duration of the opening I heard many other stations in FT8 (HA, YO SV8, LZ 9A ...)

Good tropo East from IO70jc today along the Channel helped add a few 100km to the range and kept me in this opening for 3 hours solid :-) and I missed the start.

45 QSO's in the log I, YO, 9A, E7, LZ, SV, OE. Thanks to all who called and apologies to those I missed. (due to the inefficiencies of FT8 in Es yada, yada, yada..)

I saw a flag on PSKreporter showing TA2NC KM69 heard me (3150km), I think it was genuine...the Es patches on LiveMUF suggested a chordal path to there and I was calling on that QTF at the time. Sadly no QSO, I have never worked TA from here on 2m.

ER1AN was a new all-time (40+ years!) DXCC for me!

I made a few QSO's on ssb too.

Last station to fade was SV8PEX who had been 59+++ for a long time :-)

excellent opening .
12 qso's over 2000kms
skip was increasing as the opening progressed ,
One disappointment was that TA1BM called me on FT8 at 2735kms but not complete , this is where FT8 can let you down !
would have been an atno on 2m .........
If it was SSB then it would have probably been complete .
Please more SSB if theres a prolonged and intense opening .
Did try SSB a few times hence 3 qso's at 59 !
Noticing since my feeder change to 1/2" and LDF450 from antenna to radio that I'm hearing more and many more scatter signals so it was worth the effort .
Also noise level has dropped .

I did qso with Simon,G4ELI for long time on 144300 but nobody come on SSB.
I catch a G beacon on 144408 circa,too,cw and PI4 (?) but i forgot it's callsign.

Hi folks, today's sporadic started with many HB9's in FT8. Then I decoded several stations from France and went to SSB and I heard there two F stations (one of them was F1OMQ and I heard him 55-57 during about 4 minutes), but they never answered me. Just collected good reports from HB9SJV and DF1CF, then jumped to FT8 again and worked France.

I decided to hunt the ODX and found EA2XR and EA2BFM in QSOs. After about 10 minutes EA2XR answered me! It's >3000 km. I heard also two or three stations from I1, I2.

And in a while the sporadic turned south and I was seeing 4Z5CP in FT8 during about 20 minutes, but not strong, and he was busy with grooming the pileup, so didn't answer.

This was a great sporadic day. I never heard Spain and happy to had a FB QSO today. Thanks and Glory to Ukraine, no doubt we'll win and rebuild our beautiful cities, Please don't stop to support Ukraine, you see who we're fighting with...
