Comment:
I saw the spot of Gennady about high MUF to DL and turned my ant to the east. Only a few minutes later he suddenly appeared out of the noise cqing on .300, peaking S9 for about 6 minutes.
Nothing else hrd, but really happy about the 1st ES QSO in 2013. Hopefully more to come...

Quite a good opening with some strong signals. There were a couple of quiet periods when I wasn't sure if the band was still open or not. During those quiet periods a call by myself or Tom, EI4DQ, on .300 often resulted in someone calling straight back at S9!

First Es in my /p QTH this year. I already planned to leave radioclub, but I switched trx on 2m and there was UC6A. I worked him and then just below him RZ6AFK clg cw cq. Unfortunately, I lost him during our QSO so that it is not complete.
